Briana Culberson’s Baby Bump; Brooks Ayers Explains Why He May Sue ABC
July 20, 2012 by Hollywoodite
Brooks Ayers, boyfriend of Real Housewives Of Orange County’s Vicki Gunvalson, explains why he wants ABC News to issue him an apology. Two weeks ago, 20/ 20 ran a story in which his ex-girlfriend Nicolette Catanzarite claimed Ayers is a deadbeat absentee dad who lied about being sterile and got her pregnant only to abscond and skip out on medical bills and child support. Most of these claims were supported by his ex-wife, who also calls him a deadbeat who pays no child support.
Ayers maintains his innocence, saying he’s involved in the lives of his three kids with his ex-wife but his ex-girlfriend denies access to his youngest child. Ayers’ attorney, Alexander Rufus-Isaacs told RadarOnline.com: “While we have not filed a lawsuit yet, we have written to ABC demanding a retraction and informed them that the threat of the lawsuit exists and we are currently in discussions with them… The most damaging aspect was the program accusing him of running out on his child, which is absolutely false.”
The lawyer continues: ”Brooks is very close with his three children from his marriage, and he is very keen to have a relationship with his son, but Nicolette won’t allow him access for the time being. She has said she doesn’t know how to get hold of him, which is not true. She traveled to California in January 2012 and met with Brooks and Vicki, since then he has had the same cell phone number and the same email, so there is no credence to these claims that he disappeared on her. They have a dispute and it should have remained private. It was wrong of her to go public and smear his reputation.”
In related news, Briana Culberson (formerly Briana Wolfsmith) can be seen in a photo shared by her mother with the caption “She is doing fabulous and is a beautiful pregnant future mommy.”
She and husband Ryan Culberson married last years at a Los Angeles drive through chapel. They’re now expecting their first child together in October, a boy named Troy. With her husband re-deployed to Afghanistan with no fixed date of return, the mother-to-be has moved into her own mother Vicki Gunvalson’s 5,400 square foot Coto de Caza home won as part of the ongoing divorce settlement from estranged husband Donn Gunvalson.
