Brooks Ayers’ Drunken Threats Against Vicki Gunvalson Exposed In Leaked Audio Recordings
August 20, 2013 by Lindsay Cronin
Vicki Gunvalson and her on-again, off again boyfriend Brooks Ayers have had a drama-filled relationship from the start. Shortly after Vicki began dating Brooks, reports surfaced claiming that he was a “deadbeat dad” who had served time behind bars because of his failure to pay child support. Then, after feuds with Vicki’s family and Real Housewives of Orange County co-stars, the pair was sued over claims of shady business dealings in regards to Vicki’s Vodka. As if that weren’t enough drama for one relationship, shocking audio recordings of Brooks making threats against Vicki has now hit the web.
In the audio recordings obtained by Radar Online, Brooks is heard calling Vicki a “f**king wh*re” and saying that he is going to “beat her a**,” because, as he explains, ”I can (and) that’s what we do in the South.”
The recordings were reportedly taken during a phone call between Brooks and Vicki’s son-in-law Ryan Culberson. Throughout the call, Brooks slurs his words and talks about beating women, even telling Ryan that he should be beating his wife, Briana. Ryan, a marine, informs Brooks that he has no plans of beating her to which Brooks can be heard saying, “Well you probably should do.”
In a second recording, Brooks is heard reading a text message to Ryan, presumably from Vicki, claiming that she has read him the riot act. The saying “read the riot act” is a commonly used phrase meaning, “to reprimand severely,” but during the drunken phone call, Brooks seemed to be unaware of the meaning.
When asked about the recordings, Ayers released a statement via his attorney, claiming that he is unable to comment on the situation since it will be addressed in the upcoming third installment of The Real Housewives of Orange County season 8 reunion.
“The topic and Mr. Ayers’ related comments were filmed in July, 2013, and are scheduled to air during the ‘Reunion,’” Patricia A. Marr, Esq. told Radar. “While Mr. Ayers appreciates the opportunity to comment for your media outlet, he is prohibited from commenting about future air segments.”
