Brooks Ayers Will Sue ABC For 20/20 Interview Calling Him A “Deadbeat Dad”

Vicki Gunvalson’s boyfriend Brooks Ayers reportedly intends to sue ABC for its 20/ 20 interview in which Ayers is labelled a “deadbeat dad” who cheated on his wife and then accidentally got his mistress pregnant only to abscond, leaving the former to fend for herself with three children and the latter with a newborn and unpaid medical bills.

He reportedly has no role in his youngest child’s life, nor is he reportedly paying his child support arrears for any of his older three children.

At least, those are the allegations (bolstered by his arrests for failure to pay child support) made by his ex-girlfriend/ ex-mistress (who didn’t know she was the other woman) Nicolette Catanzarite. Catanzarite made the same claims on her Facebook as she told 20/20. Her claims were supported by allegations made by Ayer’s now ex-wife.

RadarOnline.com says the 45-year-old Mississippi businessman “hired leading Beverly Hills attorney, Alexander Rufus-Isaacs of Rufus-Isaacs, Acland & Grantham, to fight both ABC and ex-girlfriend, Nicolette Catanzarite, claiming that they made ‘numerous defamatory statements’ about him on the special that aired on June 29.”

The legal letter says, in part: “On July 11, Mr. Rufus-Isaacs wrote to ABC demanding a retraction of the story and threatening to bring a lawsuit seeking damages for the injury to Mr. Ayers’ reputation.” Ayers continues: “ABC never gave me a reasonable opportunity to tell my side, and therefore the story, which is based on an interview with an ex-girlfriend, contains many mistakes. I am outraged that ABC should behave in this manner.”
