Buckwild’s Shain Gandee & Joey Mulchy Are Finally On Twitter: Photos & Tweets

In the weeks before the premiere, several of the cast members of Buckwild established social profiles for use promoting themselves (bookings and such) and promoting the show.
All the girls had public profiles except for Salwa Amin, who only recently opened her locked Twitter account to the public and made a Buckwild fan page (in addition to Amin’s personal Facebook page), and until recently Tyler Boulet was the only boy on Twitter.
Now the premiere has been successful and another another double-episode broadcast last night. As such, Amin’s Twitter is open and she’s replying to everyone! And the rest of the boys have joined Twitter.
Although Buckwild’s Shain Gandee claims not to have social media nor “any of that Internet stuff” that’s not entirely true because he’s used MySpace before and he’s currently on Twitter for the show (another possible lie, he was fired from his job “slinging trash” for the city in 2011). Another recent addition to Twitter is Buckwild’s Joey Mulchy.
Gandee’s account appears to be run by him personally, with some photos of himself and the other cast members and jokes about women and beer. While Mulchy’s account is rather rote, with only MTV promotional photos of him, and generic bon mots that sound like they were written by an intern at MTV, the channel, or Zoo Productions, the production company who made the show.
Gandee’s witticisms include a bunch of obvious humour.
* “Drinkin game for the show.. Drink Everytime they caption what i say.. Now get drunk hahaha #BUCKWILD” he wrote during last night’s double-episode. The 21-year-old continued: “Im gettin drunk to my own show.”
* Then he tried sexist humour: “Why dont women need to drive? Because there isnt a road between the bedroom and the kitchen.” Which didn’t go down so well and he had to apologise: “i just thought that last tweet was funny sorry too you ladies.”
* Then there’s the random pontificating: “Gandee candy needs a candy girl” and “Do vegetarians eat animal crackers?” and “Id rather have leg hands than arm feet” and “i want a celebrity to follow me.”
Whereas Mulchy’s tweets are as follows: “Readin peoples tweets about buckwild me lol” and “I want 100 RTs on my last tweet” and “Yall are so sweet. I wish I could reply to all your tweets. Just know yall are awesome” and “Follow me and the boys @Buckwild_Tyler @MTVShain RT when you’re done” which is predictable PR that sounds like it’s written by someone else. Admittedly, at least one tweet is signed by a third-party with the initials “SP”.
