Camille Grammer To Undergo Chemo And Radiation
Camille Grammer has had a rough month. The former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star not only found out that she had cancer, she also suffered a brutal beating at the hands of her then-boyfriend Dimitri Charalambopoulos.
Although Camille underwent a radical hysterectomy shortly after the cancer discovery in hopes of ridding herself of the disease, her battle is far from over and soon, she will be put through chemo as well as radiation.
“[Camille] will begin a grueling round of chemo and radiation in the next three weeks to treat the endometrial cancer. The good news is that Camille is young, and in very good health, and the cancer was caught early,” a source reveals to Radar Online.
“It didn’t spread, but she has to undergo both chemo and radiation to make sure it doesn’t come back,” the source explains. “She is handling this like a real trooper and will use what she has been [through] to raise awareness for women’s cancer.”
Earlier this month, following her initial procedure, her rep, Howard Bragman, told People Magazine, ”The surgery went well and she is expected to make a complete recovery following a significant recuperation period. [She] has been diligent about regular checkups and monitoring, which explains the early detection and rapid treatment.”
Meanwhile, Camille has just been granted a restraining order against her ex-boyfriend which requires him to stay 100 yards away from her and her children at all times. She’s also beefed up her security team and hopes to make the temporary restraining order permanent next month.
