Chad Johnson Released From Jail After Domestic Violence Arrest, DROPPED From Miami Dolphins
Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson was released on $2,500 bond from the Broward County Jail in Florida, Sunday afternoon, following his arrest Saturday evening for alleged domestic violence.
Newlywed Johnson is accused of headbutting his wife Evelyn Lozada who found condoms in the couple’s car about which she confronted him. That started a verbal argument, then a physical argument. Leaving her with an inches-long forehead laceration for which she required stitches. She’s now out of hospital and is staying with friends.
In related news, the Miami Dolphins have reportedly cut Johnson as wide receiver because of his arrest.
TMZ.com reports that, the same afternoon as his release, Johnson had a meeting with Miami Dolphins head coach Joe Philbin. Soon after which, FOX Sports’ Jay Glazer reported that Johnson was dropped from the team.
Incidentally, the couple’s Basketball Wives reality spin-off Ev And Ocho debuts next month on VH1 (Johnson changed his surname from “Ochocinco” and he’s been arrested for domestic violence since the premiere date was announced).
The couple married July 4, 2012 soon after which Lozada shared the first wedding photo.
