Clint Eastwood’s Daughter & Her Boyfriend Tyler Shields Destroy $100,000 Birkin Bag
There’s a new reality show you’d do well to give a wide berth in its reductive Kardashian boilerplate pointlessness. Especially if this is indicative of the lengths to which its stars will go for publicity, when whoring out and diminishing the name of patriarch Clint Eastwood isn’t enough to bolster their ratings.
Mrs. Eastwood and Company is another familial reality show on E! Probably hoping to imitate the success of Keeping Up with the Kardashians with spin-offs, commercial success, and endorsements spanning several seasons too. But they’re only two episodes in, for now, and these are the stunts they’re pulling… hoping to pull focus from their sister show.
Eastwood’s daughter, Francesca, 19, destroyed a $100,000 red crocodile skin Hermes Birkin purse because, being so entitled and spoiled, obviously that’s an insignificant possession and amount of money in her world. The “cheaper” bags are in the $15-50,000 range but can go upwards of $150,000 each. The teenager and her celebrity photographer boyfriend Tyler Shields, 30, who’s also on Mrs. Eastwood and Company, took a chainsaw and flame to the bag and wrecked it. Because that’s what rich people do when they’re not Scrooge McDucking in their money for a Shields shoot (as did Tamara Eccleston with £1,000,000 of her own cash) or destroying black $500-800 Christian Louboutin pumps (which the couple did in January to less fanfare).
Shields used the shill to promote his girlfriend’s show, captioning the shoot on his blog: “For the people who don’t know a Birkin is the most sought after bag in the entire world there is a waiting list and some of them can run upwards of $100,000. This is the red Crocodile Birkin VS the red $200 chainsaw and 4 dollars of gasoline! Make sure you check out MRS. EASTWOOD and COMPANY this SUNDAY and MONDAY NIGHT 10PM on E! Except it kind of backfired, and people are sending them death threats, feeling it’s gauche and inconsiderate to destroy something worth more than some people earn in a few years when some people watching the show may be having trouble feeding their families. The teenager is indignant; insisting those with a problem just don’t get the cleverness of this “art.”

Eastwood has been receiving death threats via Twitter and Facebook, such as:
