CONFIRMED After Denying It To National Enquirer, Jon Gosselin Admits To ET He’s A Waiter

A few days ago, National Enquirer had an interesting item about how Jon Gosselin was “slumming,” as his ex-wife Kate Gosselin had called it, by working a regular job–which, Kate would insist, is lowly and leads to a standard of living that’s beneath their children after years of being on reality television. Clearly embarrassed, when asked by the Enquirer reporter on whom Jon was waiting at Emily’s pub in Beckersville, Pa. he claimed he was “volunteering” there and would not confirm it’s his real job.

Apparently realising the cat is out of the bag, Jon has gone to Entertainment Tonight to confirm he’s working in the service industry.

In the same interview, he says he’s living in a cabin–while his ex-wife and eight kids remain in their $1.3 million Pennsylvania home, and he’s working at a pub because he can’t find work anywhere else. Incidentally, Kate basically said the same thing about herself to PEOPLE where she admitted her bad attitude had made her unhirable.

On if he’s struggling to make ends meet
No. I don’t know why people said that. They said it because I’m waiting tables, which is really disgusting.

On if he’s hit rock bottom
I’ve hit rock bottom like 20 times. I just bounce back and go somewhere else.

On how hard it is to find work
Next to nearly impossible to find work.

On if he made millions
Uh no. I mean I haven’t grossed millions and millions of dollars. I don’t like to talk about money that much.

On waiting tables
At first I was nervous because I was like, “How are people going to react?” But then I’m thinking, “Well, it’s fun and I get to talk to people.” And they technically already know me … they’re like, “Are you the guy?” I’m like, “Yeah, I’m the guy.”

On partying with Christian Audigier and attending events
I was living the high life because everyone was paying for it. And I had to earn income to pay for my legal fees.

I went there [to big cities] because it was contracted so I could earn income to pay my attorneys to protect me in court.

On if he still parties
I [party] now on a different level

On if he regrets the reality show
I don’t regret anything, because you learn from your mistakes. That’s what builds you to who you are today. – via Celebitchy.
