Dina Lohan Compares Lindsay Lohan To Elizabeth Taylor: There Are Similarities

Dina Lohan is speaking out to defend her daughter. Although, at this point, the actress isn’t really doing anything wrong except for pouting her puffy crack-lips at cameras a few hours later than everyone else.
The 49-year-old appeared on Access Hollywood Live to remind people her daughter screwed up a bunch a while back: Lindsay Lohan missed her flight and, therefore, her only chance to promote her Playboy cover; she struggled to read her cue cards on Saturday Night Live; she was six-hours late filming Glee; she missed her intended flight to the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. But, don’t worry, she’s going to learn to set the alarm on her iPhone and it’s all going to go smoothly on the set of Lifetime’s Liz & Dick, for which the 25-year-old took part in last week’s A & E Upfront Presentation looking grey and bloated.
The matriarch told the hosts: “[She’s] very prepared, she’s very excited. She’s so excited to do this and it’s such an honor to play Liz Taylor.”
The momager continued: “There’s so many similarities, the tabloids, they attacked [Liz] as well. [Lindsay’s] really learned a lot, she’s grown up a lot. This town is tough. Lindsay is 25, so it’s for her to talk about her demise, or whatever was going on at the time. I felt as a mother, yes, I’m going to protect my children publicly, privately, I kick their butts. I’m a single mom, of course I do!”
Asked about the Woody Allen dinner: “He has her back, which not many people have. It was a normal business meeting and friendship.”
In related news, New York Daily News claims that, although there’s no romance there, Lindsay’s being “urged” to stay away from ex-girlfriend Samantha Ronson. A source says: “[Minders] don’t want Lindsay and Sam hanging around each other, even just as friends. [The media coverage is] too much poorly directed publicity right now.” Adding now is the time to be “low-key,” and for Lindsay “to be focusing on her work, and not who she is seen out with.”
