Is This The Start of Divorce Drama for Real Housewives of Atlanta Star Porsha?
Just before completing two years of marriage former Pittsburgh Steelers player Kordell Stewart filed for divorce from his Real Housewives of Atlanta star wife, Porsha Williams (she goes by Stewart on the show), in Fulton County Superior Court in Atlanta, March 25,2013. The ex-NFL player’s court documents state his marriage to Porsha is “irretrievably broken”. The Atlanta couple has no children together and so the athlete asked the court to find there are no marital assets to divide. He also asks that neither side be ordered to pay alimony.
This news came as a surprise to Porsha who was blindsided and heard about the divorce filing through the media. She has publicly stated she feels misled as well as “disappointed” since she held off filing for divorce and intended to stay married after Kordell promised he would also work on improving their marriage.
Now it seems that the RHOA star has had time to think and has fired back her own official response to her future ex-husband’s divorce documents. According to legal documents, filled by Porsha’s attorney Randall Kessler, Porsha gave up her career and sold her business once she and Kordell married to care for Kordell’s son from a previous relationship. Not only is Porsha demanding alimony she is also demanding exclusive use of the family’s Atlanta home. It is unknown if Kordell has responded to Porsha’s divorce demands.
Will the divorce drama play out on next seasons Real Housewives of Atlanta? Or will Porsha leave the show and deal with the divorce process in private and out of the spotlight? Only time will tell. Good Luck Porsha.
