Ed Sheeran Defends Taylor Swift: She’s Only “Dated Around Five or Six People”

Musician Ed Sheeran, who has been performing on Taylor Swift’s Red tour since March, denied rumors of Swift being boy-crazy and constantly dating.
He is quoted in OK! Magazine as saying that Swift has “dated around five or six people” in her lifetime. ”The rumor that she dates a lot of people is a misconception,” Sheeran is quoted as saying in OK! Magazine. “In the time that I’ve known her, which has been almost two years now, she has dated two people. Fact.”
The people Swift was primarily linked to last year included Conor Kennedy and One Direction’s Harry Styles, so it appears that Sheeran is telling the truth. ”I don’t like when people take shots at [her] because I do know her personally and think people get the wrong end of the stick,” Sheeran said. “She’s so successful and she’s so nice and sweet to everyone that she meets. There is nothing bad to say but she was being pictured with a lot of dudes!”
Sheeran himself has been linked romantically to Swift in the past, but denied the rumors, though he did say it made him feel “like a bit of a stud” back when the rumors were circulating.
Sheeran is known for his song A Team and received a nomination for Song of the Year award at the Grammy’s. He has a song, Everything Has Changed with Swift on her album Red. He has also written for other artists, for example he wrote One Direction’s hit Little Things.
