Ellen Kardashian Responds To Criticism About The ITW Cover: “They’re The Ones Lying!”

January 28, 2013 by Hollywoodite

Last week’s cover of In Touch Weekly purportedly revealed the personal journals of Robert Kardashian, Sr. sold to the tabloid by one of his widows, Ellen Kardashian, who insisted that the journals alleging child neglect and abuse by Kris Jenner were accurate.

In the journals it was alleged that Jenner stopped parenting her minor kids when she started cheating on her first husband in the 1980s. It was alleged that when she went to meet her lovers, her husband knew about it, but she wouldn’t even leave a way to contact her in the event of an emergency. Worse still, it’s alleged that Jenner beat the kids.

In response, the girls denied the claims and attacked Ellen’s character and said she’s a liar who’s only selling the story, like she did exactly a year ago, because she’s broke.

And now Ellen’s reacted to the girls’ outrage by giving another interview to ITW. It’s a screed rebutting the girls’ claims one rage-tweet at a time.

Ellen, 72, is defending herself to In Touch, claiming the sisters are, in fact, the ones who being dishonest.

Khloé [wrote on Twitter]: “How can such a piece of trash even mention my father’s name? You married him on his deathbed while he was not even aware of his surroundings.”

Ellen tells In Touch: “To say that is completely false and horrible. I was with Robert for almost five years total. I dated him for three years, and he proposed to me in 2001. We married two months prior to his passing in 2003 and planned a wedding… we didn’t just run right out and get married. In fact, I met with the girls just the week before to go over all our plans. We had a beautiful wedding with the girls and all of his family at our home. It’s sad they choose to lie when they know their father was so happy on that wonderful day.”

Kim and Khloé [wrote on Twitter]: “10 yrs after my father’s passing” and “10 yrs since dad passed,” prefaced tweets from both girls.

Ellen tells In Touch: “That’s wrong. Robert passed 9 years ago, not 10.”

Kim [wrote]: “This woman he married 4 2 wks before he died needs 2 get a job instead of trying 2 destroy families w fake stories.”

Ellen tells In Touch: “Get a job? Really? I have a career. I am a successful business professional who has worked hard in my profession for 25 years. My God, I’ve worked since I was 18 years old.”

Khloé [wrote]: “10yrs after my father’s passing&now that she has filed for bankruptcy… NOW she sells FALSE stories. Hope that money buys you water in hell.”

Ellen tells In Touch: “Now that’s old news. When Robert died, he left me a big mortgage on both homes, and I had to pay. So when the real estate market went south, just like 50% of all the rest of Americans, it wasn’t worth keeping. So at my lawyer’s advice, I didn’t [keep the homes]. That was two years ago, and I let the bank take it back. To get out from underneath everything else, they filed bankruptcy at the same time. That’s true and a record anyone can pull up at the County Recorder.”

Kim [claimed]: “So my dad’s ex is selling ridiculous stories again to tabloids! Do not believe it! Sad when people need $ & get desperate.”

Ellen tells In Touch: “I am not his ex! I am his widow! I have nothing to hide. I have not belittled them or chastised them or said shameful things about them. If this was about money, I would have done this nine years ago, because I’m not the one who was left the insurance policy.”

While the details from their unhappy past have left the sisters and their mom furious at Ellen, Robert’s widow stands by her decision to release the journals. “I am simply stating the facts and the truth… their father’s truth,” she tells In Touch. “I simply delivered hand-written diaries from their father. They are my property at the disposal of whatever I so choose. Robert would have no problem with that.” – via In Touch Weekly Magazine.
