Eva Longoria and Ernesto Arguello Confirm They’re Dating

Any rumor you may have heard about Eva Longoria’s love life can finally be set in stone. The 38-year-old actress has officially confirmed to PEOPLE that she indeed is dating Ernesto Arguello, the 34-year-old entrepreneur and philanthropist from Miami.

Back in April, speculations about the two being a couple were unleashed throughout various media outlets. Arguello and Longoria were not an item then, and “that’s why [their] relationship is so special…[they] truly started as friends,” Longoria told PEOPLE. The two met last year when Arguello was cast in the reality matchmaking show Ready for Love, which was produced by Longoria. It’s pretty ironic that Arguello was broadcasted looking for love at the same time he stumbled upon his future sweetheart.

Arguello and Longoria are definitely one of Hollywood’s newest picture perfect couples. An unidentified source, who is close with the couple, told PEOPLE that they are a “perfect match” as they “both speak Spanish, have the same religion and the same cultural background.” The magazine also reported that Longoria recently traveled with her new hubby to Honduras, his home country, where he built a school for his old community and houses for poverty-stricken families.

“Their friendship and their similar philanthropic interests laid the foundation for their new romance…they’re very much in love,” the source also told PEOPLE. Talented, hard working and charitable? It definitely looks like this was a match made in heaven. This former desperate housewife clearly isn’t so desperate anymore. Congratulations to her and Arguello on their newly formed relationship!
