EXCLUSIVE Jax Taylor Talks Vanderpump Rules, Lisa Vanderpump, And More
Jax Taylor is coming back to Bravo for a second season of Vanderpump Rules and from the looks of the trailer, things are going to be even more dramatic than they were during season 2. From naked photo shoots to shocking hook-ups, the drama has been taken to a new level!
Although Jax has been busy traveling back and forth from Las Vegas recently, we were able to catch up with him this afternoon for a quick chat about the show, Lisa Vanderpump, fame, and dealing with the Bravo TV cameras.
After season 1, did you expect to see the show renewed? Why?
Yes. It’s such a good show. There was so much going on. After watching some of it and getting some feedback, I was fairly certain it would get renewed.
How did you first meet Lisa Vanderpump?
I met her through Stassi. We met about 3 and 1/2 to 4 yrs ago.
What is your relationship with Lisa like?
I don’t really look at her as a boss. She’s more like a mother figure, but I definitely respect her as my boss. She loves to give me a hard time and she’s kind of like a mother to us all.
Have you gotten used to be recognized by fans of the show?
Yes. It’s been intense. [At the restaurant], it gets a little crazy and anywhere, really. People know exactly who I am and 9 times out of 10, its a positive experience.
What is going on in your career aside from the show?
As of right now I’m starting a couple of companies. I’ve started a fitness app which is in the works. That will be launched midway through the season as well as a mens magazine with Tom Sandoval and Matt Cutshall.
When you’re not busy with work, what are you doing?
I go to Vegas a lot. I visit friends. We just do anything. I have a love hate relationship with Los Angeles at the moment, so it’s nice to get out at times.
Were you more comfortable with the cameras during season 2 than you were the first time around?
I forgot about the cameras within the first 30 minutes. The first day was weird and then we didn’t even see them. We’re all really good about that.
What can you tell fans about yourself that would surprise them?
I have dual citizenship. I am a citizen of the U.S. and I’m also a citizen of Australia. My mom is Australian but I left when I was 6, so I don’t remember growing up there.
