EXCLUSIVE Kristen Doute on Vanderpump Rules, Tom Sandoval, And Babies
Kristen Doute is one of the cast members of Vanderpump Rules who will be returning to the show for a second season on November 4. Following season 1, fans were left wanting more and earlier this year, Bravo announced that they would be getting it in the form of a second, much longer, season which will air every Monday after the new episodes of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
Ahead of this Monday’s big premiere, Kristen has taken some time out to chat exclusively with Hollywoodite about the upcoming season, her relationship with Tom Sandoval, and her baby fever!
Congratulations on season 2. Were you expecting that the series would be renewed?
I was hopeful. There seemed to be a positive response whether the viewers loved out show or loved to hate it! Either way, I’m thankful for the opportunity.What do you think makes the show so enticing to viewers?
What sets us apart from most reality television is that we are not cast, we are unscripted. What you see is how our lives really are. I think that people can relate to our relationships, friendships and our financial struggles. We don’t work at Sur because we have a TV show, we work there because we have bills to pay.In what way will season 2 be different from season 1?
Season 1 was a very one storyline driven show. It was the “Jax and Stassi Saga.” This season, we have twice as many episodes so you will get to know all of the cast members on a more intimate level. At times, too intimate for my liking, but our pain can be the viewers’ pleasure! It definitely makes for a more juicy show.What are you looking forward to seeing on the show?
As much drama and tears as there were, we also had a lot of fun and some great memories. It’s rad to have that documented!Is there anything you are hoping producers will show more of during season 2 than they did during season 1?
The only thing I felt was missing was airing our career goals and the day-to-day that it takes to achieve those dreams. Most of us are very ambitious and hardworking, not just a group of whining waitresses.
How is your relationship with Tom?
No spoilers! All I can say is that he is my best friend and we had a tough summer. We are working on things and every day is a new day.Do you still have baby fever (I noticed a tweet a few weeks ago)?
Always! Weddings, hanging out with my friends’ children, Halloween haha…I’m not getting any younger and my biological clock is definitely ticking! I also know I’m not yet in a place in my life where I’m quite ready, but hopefully it will happen before I have to freeze my eggs.
