Final Destination 5 – Movie Trailer & Posters

July 10, 2011 by Hollywoodite

Final Destination, perhaps in deliberate irony, refuses to die. Despite loose – and evidently untrue – promises that movie four, The Final Destination, would be its last, the makers have returned with another. Not since the Saw movies has another quite outstayed its welcome to such an extent.

The fifth movie takes a turn that was previously unexplored among the plot holes of the previous films; how to really cheat death, if it’s coming for you.

In movies one to four, there was loose logic that one of a group of people in some disaster would foresee and prevent a major accident. That person then has further premonitions and people can be saved and ‘Death’ can/ will skip them for a time. But, eventually, it gets everyone.

In this film there’s a continuation of the logical fallacies about how one cheats death’s design. It’s in the trailer – so no need to write the spoiler – but there’s one sure-fire way to ensure death gets its cake and eats it too. And you won’t have to die.

This movie will be released August 12, in 3D and in select theaters in 2D for people who want to be able to see a film without the cheaters’ method of rendering 3D after the fact destroying its visibility.
