Gia Allemand Passes Away at the Age of 29: Suicide by Hanging

The Bachelor’s Gia Allemand from season 14 has passed away today after being taken off life support. Gia was on Jake Pavelka’s season and always appeared to be outgoing and fun.
It was first reported that her family and boyfriend Ryan Anderson had been at the hospital since Monday waiting on her condition to improve. As TMZ reports today, Gia and Ryan had a rollercoaster relationship and her death was a result of suicide by hanging.
Gia had been extremely upset about a rocky relationship with her boyfriend Ryan Anderson… the cause of death was suicide.
Gia’s boyfriend Ryan Anderson found Gia in her house Monday night. We’re told Gia was on life support, which was withdrawn today. She had suffered “critical loss of brain and organ function.” Her mom, boyfriend and other friends were in the hospital when she died.
Gia hanged herself.
Her boyfriend, Ryan, found her hanging and unconscious in her home and immediately called 911. – via TMZ.
Many of her fellow Bachelor co-stars sent out tweets about her sudden death and even said they had just seen her last week.
Her co-stars from season 14 tweeted messages about Gia’s tragic passing. Jake Pavelka wrote of Gia, ”I had to pull over, I can’t stop crying. We have lost an angel.”
Vienna Girardi wrote, “Gia you are my angel! You changed so many lives with your beautiful soul and will be missed and loved forever.”
Ali Fedotowsky said on Twitter, ”We lost an incredible human being today.”
If anyone has ever had someone close to them commit suicide, it’s often unexpected and due to underlying issues. Our prayers go out to Gia’s family and her boyfriend.
