Girl Burns Off Hair While Making Instructional Video About How To Curl Hair

Posted online even though it’s humiliating and makes it look like she doesn’t know what she’s doing, a young girl shared this YouTube video of herself burning through her own hair while attempting to talk through a tutorial on hair styling.

In the clip uploaded earlier this week entitled ‘Burning My Hair Off -ORIGINAL VIDEO- (Hair Tutorial Gone Wrong),’ that started going viral today on places like Reddit.com, user ‘Tori Locklear’ (who only has one video on a 4 year old account) gives the purpose of the video as being a hair tutorial using a curling iron. In a caption, she explains a little further, ‘Me around October 2012 attempting to curl my hair, but instead something else happened. It burned off. Cool.’

Apparently underestimating the heat of the curling iron and not realising you shouldn’t really leave heat directly on the hair that long anyway, she instructs viewers to hold scalding curlers on their hair for ’20 [seconds] or longer].’ Which is, by the way, always bad idea. And as you can see… she burns off several inches of hair.
