Girl Meets World Season One Episode One: Photos From The Set of The Pilot
Girl Meets World has begun filming its pilot of which more photos are below.
Cast members Ben Savage, playing the dad, Rowan Blanchard, playing the daughter on whom the show is based, Sabrina Carpenter, the best friend, and Boy Meets World’s Maitland Ward who played Rachel McGuire shared pictures of the Girl Meets World set.
They also shared photos of alums Rider Strong (the best friend, Shawn Hunter), Will Friedle (big brother, Eric Matthews), and William Daniels (principal, Mr. Feeny). Having checked the show’s IMDb, Ward, Strong, and Friedle and are not in Girl Meets World.
UPDATE 3/23/13: TVLine.com says William Daniels, “Mr Feeny,” IS reprising his role.
Turns out William Daniels wasn’t just visiting the Girl Meets World set earlier this week… he was working. TVLine has learned that William Daniels will indeed reprise his beloved role as Mr. Feeny in Disney Channel’s Greatest Pilot of All Time.
It’s not clear what function the character will serve on the Boy Meets World spin-off, but considering he was photographed in a classroom setting, and given his teaching background, it seems logical that he will be back working at the school now attended by Cory’s (Ben Savage) children (including Rowan Blanchard, who’s playing his titular daughter, Riley).
A GMW source, meanwhile, points out that Rider Strong and Will Friedle, who were also snapped on the set, were just visiting and do not appear in the pilot. – via TVLine.
