Stars gone too soon. The news of James Gandolfini and Cory Monteith has left Hollywood, as well as devoted family, friends and fans, up in arms over the recent tragedies in Hollywood.

The news of Glee star Cory Monteith, 31, found dead in his hotel room from currently unknown causes, left stars speechless and stunned, as they took to Twitter to voice their respect. Monteith touched the lives of many, especially A-listers such as, Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, Kaley Cuoco, Lance Bass, Rihanna, Kim Kardashian, Demi Lovato and Alyssa Milano.

Most tweets describe what a great, loving and nice guy Monteith was. Glee issued a statement that said, “We are deeply saddened by this tragic news. Cory was an exceptional talent and an even more exceptional person. He was a true joy to work with and we will all miss him tremendously. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones.”

Other stars were speechless, literally, and in shock over the death that they had no words. Monteith’s girlfriend and on-screen lover, Lea Michele, issued a statement through her spokesperson asking for “privacy at this devastating time.” The two were in separate countries, Michele in Mexico and Monteith in Canada, when he passed away unexpectedly.

It is unfortunate that the lifelong legacy and impact Monteith left on Hollywood had to have been portrayed through his death. The young star, who was troubled in his past, recently completed a stint in rehab. Friends say he was in the best spirits and shape they had seen him in months. Rest in peace, Cory Monteith.
