Gretchen Rossi Closes In On New WE tv Series

Gretchen Rossi may have just lost her gig on The Real Housewives of Orange County, but that could have been a blessing in disguise for the newly engaged designer. Less than two weeks after news broke that Gretchen and Alexis Bellino wouldn’t be returning to the show for the upcoming ninth season, Gretchen is reportedly closing in on a deal to appear on another reality series.
“She’s been offered to be a part of a new show on WE tv,” a source tells to Celebuzz. “It’s a show about different celeb couples.”
Like the Real Housewives, the WE tv show would follow Gretchen and her fiancé Slade as they go about their daily life, juggling their relationship with their businesses, all while trying to decide what is next for their future.
After getting engaged during the eighth season of the Real Housewives, Gretchen and Slade are once again struggling to decide if a wedding is the logical next step. While Slade is totally on board with a walk down the aisle, Gretchen is more interested in starting a family.
The concept of the show appears to be a good fit for the pair but until Gretchen gets the official word from Bravo, she won’t be signing any contracts.
“She’s waiting for the final word from Bravo before she takes it,” explains the source. “As of now, she’s not coming back. But Bravo hasn’t said a final yes or no. They want to change things up. The storylines are getting boring and it’s a lot of the same. She actually was already thinking about leaving.”
Once the decision is made by Bravo, which should be in the next couple of weeks since they are due to start filming later this month, Gretchen will be ready to give her final word to WE tv.
“If she takes the new show, she’d start filming right away,” adds the source.
Also reportedly in talks to sign on for the series is The Bachelorette’s Trista Sutter. Trista appeared on the very first installment of The Bachelorette where she met husband Ryan Sutter. The couple now has two children together and has been married for nearly a decade.
