Report: Grocery Store Shields Shoppers From A Nude Jessica Simpson

Jessica Simpson covers Elle Magazine April 2012 twice; one clothed cover that dates itself with the size of her bump, one unclothed and passe cover aping a 1991 Vanity Fair cover with Demi Moore that ended up as bad CGI on the part of Elle because everything from the neck down appeared to be digital art.

In any case, logic would have dictated using the clothed cover for newsstands and perhaps the unclothed cover for the subscribers.

Except, apparently, that didn’t happen and the nudity made its way onto grocery store shelves, one of which either took offence or got a complaint a week ago because this handwritten note has covered Simpson since then (handwritten as opposed to the corporate-issue shield used to cover Elton John on Us Weekly last year).

A tipster tells Jezebel.com the below sign has covered Elle the last few days in one Arizona store although no furthers specifics are given. Is this cover too explicit for shelves?
