Heidi Klum Talks Marriage In Pre-Divorce Interview With InStyle UK

February 2, 2012 by Hollywoodite

Well, this is awkward.

Heidi Klum covers InStyle UK March 2012, looking as though the magazine dragged her out of bed and shot her photos with an iPhone. Klum, 38, is really horribly styled for this shoot. More specifically, she’s really under-styled for this shoot. The hair, the make-up, the cheap-looking clothes. It all looks rushed and under-done. Honestly, that little make up. Done like that? And the hair… they basically just gave her a blow-out (or badly flat-ironed her hair).

The interview is noteworthy, however, since InStyle UK lucked into what appears to be Klum’s last interview before separating from husband Seal on January 22. If you recall, Marie Claire lucked into the same when Kim Kardashian filed for divorce back in October. Except the former is honest about this being a pre-divorce interview, whereas the latter passed itself off as a post-divorce exclusive.

On what works for them: “I don’t know why we work, my husband and I. We just do. We are black and white; Yin and Yang.”

On Seal’s good points and bad: “To me, his beautiful face, great body, amazing heart, voice, his ability to be a loving, caring person and father… what can I say?”

On his personality, which is revealing: “He can be mad too and I have a lot of fun with him. He’s off the cuff. He’s not fixed in his ways. And he knows how to handle me. It’s always been really passionate between us.”

On planning to renew her vows this year: “I’m determined to mark our wedding every year with a really great party. We all work very hard and time goes by so fast and you can stumble over years without symbolic peaks in your life to remember, so we create those.”

On first meeting Seal in 2004, whens he was five-months pregnant with Flavio Briatore’s daughter: “Yes, [Seal and I] locked eyes and, well… We were immediately attracted to each other. He is a very tall, striking man. Not someone who blends in. He’d come into the hotel from the gym and he was sweaty and wanted to take a shower. I said ‘No, stay with me. I don’t mind.’ And he said ‘No, but I’ll be back.’ And he did go to his room. And he did come back. And knowing him now, he was very fast and he’s a man who usually really takes his time. So now, I know he really wanted to come back to me.”

On Seal insisting on Klum getting 24/7 security: “That’s something my husband insists upon; especially when he’s away. He says ‘If I can’t be there to protect you, I have to have another man who can.’ Seal and I do have a bottom line and that’s to protect the kids. Our bodyguards are with them today, for example, because we’re both working. We don’t want the children to be part of this madness. It’s bad enough when he and I go anywhere. I don’t want to push or put any of this on them. They’ll find their own way.” – via InStyle UK.
