Heidi Montag & Spencer Pratt tell ITW: We wasted $10 million!

Former The Hills reality stars Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt made a lot of money… and then spent it all… according to a new interview with In Touch Weekly.

The couple tells the tabloid, Heidi and her husband made millions and spent it by showing off and living beyond their means. Moreover, they didn’t stop spending when the money started to run out.

“We were immature and we got caught up,” Spencer tells In Touch. “Every time we’d go out to eat, we’d order $4,000 bottles of wine. Heidi was going to the mall and dropping $20,000 to $30,000 a day. We thought we were Jay Z and Beyonce.”

They were close to being bankrupt in 2011 because Heidi spent $30,000 on elective surgery in 2010.

They will explain what went wrong on their E! special, Aftershock: Heidi & Spencer, which premieres Monday, Dec. 9.

Heidi tells In Touch, “[I feel] like a different person” now she’s grown up and has to be more responsible with her spending. Also, Heidi says The Hills “took a toll on my soul. I’m thankful not to have fake fights anymore!”
