Here Comes Honey Boo Boo’s Pumpkin Not Playing Nice Online

It seems that Here Comes Honey Boo Boo’s Pumpkin has had an interesting summer being a cyberbully.
Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon, 13, was discovered to be cyberbullying two classmates. Last week, she posted two videos on Instagram harassing and cruelly insulting the girls, calling them “fat, ugly and annoying.” The videos were viewed by 4,000 of Pumpkin’s followers. It is not known if Pumpkin used any other social networks to torment the girls.
The matriarch of the family, Mama June, found out about Pumpkin’s malicious internet antics when the mother of one of the girls being targeted took action online and called out Mama June on Facebook. The mother called Mama June a hypocrite for being an advocate for the Anti-Bullying campaign but yet having a bully in her very own home.
As soon as Mama June found out about Pumpkin’s internet bullying activities she took quick action and immediately revoked all of Pumpkin’s internet privileges. She also had Pumpkin apologize to all of the people she bullied and offended. Mama June did allowed the no internet rule to be broken once for Pumpkin to post an apology video. In response to her daughters actions, Mama June told TMZ “My family takes bullying very seriously. I do not tolerate it. As a mom, I jumped in, reached out to the parent and took action.”
Let’s hope Pumpkin learned a very valuable lesson from this and joins her mother in the fight against all types of bullying.
