Hollywoodite.com is a growing Hollywood gossip website in search of talented people to write posts for which they’ll be credited.
We’re a growing site and, as such, we are currently hiring writers who understand online publishing and who have an almost prescient understanding of celebrity news.
You’ll have a genuine interest in popular culture, with a bias towards television, tabloid, and scandal. You’ll be original, you’ll understand online publishing, and you’ll be a good researcher/ fact-checker. And you’ll be looking for a part-time writing position to strengthen your portfolio of online work.
You’ll need to be over the age of 13, preferably with English as your first language (if it’s not, that’s okay, but please declare that on your resume). You can be from anywhere internationally, although preference may be given to people applying from North America (and perhaps Canada too) only because the content is 90% about American/ Canadian celebrities on this site.
There are several positions available on the site at the moment all of which require a minimum three month commitment.
In short, you’ll be part of a team but the positions are as follows (feel free to contact the site owner for more information).
* Part-time position A: Writing at least FIVE posts per week, every week, Monday through Friday, for at least three months. You’ll be one of a team of writers with the same position, reporting to the site owner, and you’ll receive a named byline for your work. You do not need previous experience to apply for this position.
* Part-time position B: Writing at least ONE post per week, every week (submitting work between Monday and Friday), for at least three months. You’ll be part of a team of writers with the same position, reporting to the site owner, and you’ll also receive a named byline as credit for your work. You do not need previous experience to apply for this position.
