Honey Boo Boo Attends Drag Queen Show in Florida with Mom and Uncle

When asked where they want to go, most 7-year-old children would say the toy store, an amusement park or even the park; a drag queen show would definitely not be high on a child’s wish list of places to go.
According to TMZ, 7-year-old Alana Thompson, as known as Honey Boo Boo, attended a drag queen show at Hamburger Mary’s, a gay burger place, in Jacksonville, FL earlier this week with her mother Mama June and her Uncle Poodle. Talk about an interesting dinner. Not only did Honey Boo Boo get to see her first drag show at the restaurant, but she also got to play “Drag Queen bingo” as well, TMZ reported. What exactly is the difference between bingo and the drag queen counterpart? The world may never know.
Sources reported to TMZ that Honey Boo Boo, her mother and her uncle had an awesome time at the event. It may not have been exactly appropriate for a child’s night out, but at least she was full of glee. Honey Boo Boo got to eat a nice meal, play a unique version of bingo and sign autographs for people throughout the restaurant. The night out sounds like it was a success, to say the least.
People begging Boo Boo and her family for autographs isn’t even the last part. People gave the trio a “tip jar” to donate money towards a charity devoted to stop cyber bullying. What a good cause.
There’s still something a bit off about this though. Is it really appropriate for a child of 7 years of age to go to a drag queen show…with her mother? What do you think? Is Mama June nuts? Or is it okay for Boo Boo to have gone to the restaurant, maybe because it teaches her to accept all kinds of people? Comment your opinions below.
