ITW: Inside Jessica Simpson’s “Dramatic Delivery” of Ace Knute Johnson

July 2, 2013 by Hollywoodite

The tired “Dramatic delivery” headline is being used again by In Touch Weekly this week.

Its sister publication Life & Style used the same headline about Kate Middleton last week, even though the royal is still pregnant. Before that, Us Weekly used the headline about Kim Kardashian. The same wording was also used by ITW for Jessica Simpson’s first child and the slight variation of “Drama in the delivery room” used by Life & Style and “delivery room drama” on the cover of PEOPLE.

This week, the cover says of Jessica Simpson delivering son Ace Knute Johnson—in whom, incidentally, the tabloids have no real interest because the baby is a sandwiched in between Kim Kardashian’s baby and Kate Middleton’s baby—”It’s a boy for Jessica. Inside her dramatic delivery. Last minute C-section panic; The one person by her side; Maxwell’s first meeting with her new brother. PLUS: The full story behind the baby’s name.” Incidentally, the information about the C-section is a complete lie; it wasn’t “last minute panic” it was a scheduled C-section.

On June 30, Jessica Simpson and her fiancé, Eric Johnson, welcomed son Ace Knute into the world via a scheduled C-section. “She had a suite at the hospital and her whole family was going to be there waiting for her when she got out of the delivery room,” says an insider close to Jessica, adding that Ace couldn’t have come a moment too soon: “This pregnancy has been difficult.” While Jessica seemed to sail through her first pregnancy with daughter Maxwell — who was born on May 1, 2012 — this time around hasn’t been so easy. “She was more sick and all around more uncomfortable than she was the last time,” says the insider. Plus she and Eric are in the middle of renovating their new $11.5 million Hidden Hills, Calif. mansion. “They were rushing to get the house all done before the baby came,” says the insider. “They are down to the wire, and it took tons of work.” But for Jessica, her baby boy makes it all worth it. “Jess has been through a lot,” says the insider. “But she is so blessed and is in the best place right now. She could not be happier!” – via In Touch Weekly.
