Jamie Lynn Spears Announces Engagement

The kid sister of Britney Spears, Jamie Lynn Spears, announced her engagement on Instagram over the weekend.

The 21-year-old posted a picture of her and now-fiance, 30-year-old Jamie Watson (yes… same name as herself and her own father, Jamie Parnell Spears). She followed up with a closeup of her ring with hashtag “#hedidgood.”

Jamie and Jamie have been dating for nearly three-years now and got together after her break-up with Casey Alridge, the father of her four-year-old daughter Maddie Briann Aldridge.

Britney, who was recently dumped by boyfriend-of-four-years and former fiance Jason Trawick, tweeted: “So excited and happy for my sister, congrats @jamielynnspears love you.”

In related news, Britney was recently linked to new man David Lucado when they were spotted eating dinner for Valentine’s Day together.
