The Ring Courtland Rogers Gave Jenelle Evans: $3,2999 Diamond Or… $20 Cubic Zirconia?

It’s becoming impossible to keep up with whomever serial monogamist Jenelle Evans from Teen Mom 2 is dating or engaged to. She spent the summer bouncing between ex-boyfriend Kieffer Delp and ex-fiance Gary Head to whom she was engaged, then not engaged, then engaged again about which she wrote on Twitter by posting a photo of the ring in the box.
So if yesterday afternoon’s tweets from Evans felt familiar it’s because she did the same thing a few months ago, at least twice, with another guy.
Evans posted the following messages on Twitter: “Courtland felt like spending money… Lmao he is inside the store for 2 hours and comes out and BAM! HOLY SH!T!”
Evans later admitted on Facebook it’s only a gift: “So Courtland goes inside Zales in the mall. I was in the food court eating. I was getting p!ssed and stressed he was meeting up with some other girl and come to find out we leave the mall and get in the car and he pulls out this!!! He stated “Diamonds lasts forever and go hard or go home.” So now I have a white gold 1.5 karat diamond ring for simply being his girlfriend. I love u so f***ing much, u mean everything to me. ♥ I’m not even his fiancé, best gift EVER! Thanks gorgeous!!”
She clarified further: “NO IM NOT ENGAGED, the ring was just a present from him to me. that’s all.”
And she tweeted a screencap of the ring for sale online, identifying it as costing $3299.99 from Zales: ”@OffRoadBabyGirl: @PBandJenelley_1 @Kambreee @courtyb11 ‘you mean FAKE ring’… really it’s fake ?!”
However, the ring she’s wearing appears to be different. A commenter at RumorFix.com notes it looks a LOT more like a specific $20 ring from Dillards of which you can find a screen cap below. The ring is described on Dillards.com as “Tivoli CZ Engagement Ring Set… A dazzling display of love, this silvertone base metal set features an engagement ring with a round clear cubic zirconia in a 4-prong setting and multiple channel-set stones along the shank. The wedding band gives further brilliance with matching channel-set clear stones. Packaged in a red snake-embossed box.”
Evans says it’s four-figures from Zales while it looks more like the two-figure ring from Dillards. Here are comparisons so you can judge for yourself.
