Farrah Abraham isn’t the only Teen Mom in the news. Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans, 21, was arrested in North Carolina Tuesday for possession of heroin and attacking her husband-of-five months, Courtland Rogers, 27.
According to TMZ.com, police found 12 bindles of heroin (Urban Dictonary defines a “bindle” as a small envelope used for carrying powdered drugs such as cocaine), the prescription painkiller Percocet, and drug paraphernalia in Evans’ home when they arrived on-scene after an alleged domestic dispute with her husband.
In Brunswick County Police documents obtained by TMZ, Evans was served with a warrant for failure to pay child support and charged with assault for hitting her husband with a piece of furniture during their dispute. Her husband, Rogers, was also arrested for allegedly assaulting Evans by hitting her on the neck and head with a closed fist.
This is not Evans’ first run-in with the law. The troubled mother was arrested twice in early January 2012 for harassing her former roommate, Hannah Inman, and for violating a domestic violence protective order by texting Inman harassing messages.
According to US Weekly, Evans, who is mother to 3-year-old son Jace, spoke out on her Sulia page about her addictions on March 15.
“I simply feel as if I didn’t need to go to treatment if my problem isn’t drugs anymore, and never will be again,” she wrote.”I need individual counseling and therapy if anything for being addicted to relationships. I can honestly admit this about myself and can’t seem to help it unless I continue to get the help I need through therapy.”
Married in December 2012, the newlyweds got off to a troubled start when Evans filed five assault charges against Rogers, who denied the claims. The pair called off their short-lived marriage in February 2012 after Evans accused Rogers of cheating on her.
