Jennifer Aniston: She’s Moved On, She’s Not Bitter, She Wants Brad Pitt To Be Happy

This is the third such report in response to Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt getting engaged.

Within hours of the news breaking, sources relayed that Jennifer Aniston was happy for them. Soon after, there were tabloid reports that Aniston was over it and too focused on her personal life to really notice the furor. But no one was really buying it, because it stank of protesting too much. Not that Aniston’s obliged to respond at all. But it felt like her camp was trying too hard to paint the actress in a certain way and it was backfiring.

That said, today, the same comments have basically been copy and pasted from lesser tabloids into People Magazine. Giving the information all the authority needed to satiate the people parsing Aniston’s every eye-twitch. It’s just easier to believe People, despite its propensity to pass this kind of rep-fed statement as a “source” account. At least, the wording of People’s quote is probably closer to the truth.

A source tells the magazine: “Jen moved on a long time ago, and she is trying to just focus on her own happiness. Jen is not a bitter person and she has always wanted Brad to be happy. Jen spent many happy years with Brad and thinks their divorce was meant to be. She is very happy with Justin and that’s what she is focusing on right now.”
