Jennifer Lopez & Casper Smart Threaten Legal Action Over Tabloid Claims

This week’s Star Magazine and In Touch Weekly Magazine both put Casper Smart on their covers.
Star Magazine seems convinced Smart was “caught” at a “well-known cruising spot for gay men looking for instant hookups.”
ITW claims the 25-year-old was in the area for an “exotic massage” after which he looked “relaxed.” ITW’s story elaborated with a named source, whose photo was included inside the issue, and week-old photos of Smart walking into and out of a doorway marked ”PEEP SHOW OPEN 24 HOURS.”
Jennifer Lopez and Smart are now threatening to sue (clearly having missed similar claims made about Smart’s sexuality last month).
TMZ.com reports that lawyers Shawn Chapman Holley and Howard Weitzman sent legal letters to the tabloids, explaining that “false, malicious and defamatory” stories that will cause “immense damage” to the couple’s careers and reputations. The couple want a retraction or they’ll ”immediately file a lawsuit.”
