Jennifer Lopez Chose Dating Casper Smart Over Marriage To Marc Anthony

Jennifer Lopez chose her new relationship with Casper Smart over her marriage to Marc Anthony.

Lopez’s relationship with Smart has been all over the tabloids as people try to work out what she sees in him; he’s barely 25-years-old, he’s not that good-looking, he feels sub-Chris Judd, he’s not exceptionally talented, he’s MEH. He’s just a random, average guy who asked out Lopez days after her marriage fell through. He’s a guy who was nice to her, and her kids. And that’s the point. Lopez’ isn’t picky; she’s needy. She needs someone; anyone. She needs to be in a relationship with anyone. It doesn’t seem to matter whom, so there’s no use in parsing the point.

That said, she chose this average guy over her husband, with whom she had years and two children. She chose to try, and there’s so much try in this relationship, rather than reconcile in her marriage.

TMZ.com reports that Lopez and Anthony spoke about whether to end their marriage, some time after becoming estranged. It’s then Lopez confessed she’d since fallen in love with Smart which reportedly “blindsided” Anthony who “had no idea things were so serious.”
