Jennifer Lopez & Casper Smart: Twitter Photo, Engagement Rumour

Jennifer Lopez is sending all kinds of weird mixed-messages about her boyfriend-of-three-months, Casper Smart.
This is the rebound relationship into which she jumped weeks after the divorce filing, after she tired of Bradley Cooper. Smart is the man to whom she introduced her twins right away (before the couple were even serious because, obviously, your kids need to meet everyone you’re casually dating).
Since that time, Lopez has relegated Smart to chief purse carrier, King Of The Help; the guy who drives her, for which he receives a five-figure-monthly stipend; the guy who accompanied her on a Vogue photo shoot and who may accompany her to the Oscars on February 26.
The rumours about them vary, since he’s basically the paid help who gets to bang the boss; he’s an employee with benefits. One minute Lopez is re-tweeting Smart’s sycophantic love-bleatings, the next she’s stroking her estranged husband’s face on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
With that, we get tabloid reports about everything from “they’re adopting,” to “he proposed and they’re engaged,” to they’re “living together,” to they’re “rushing into marriage,” to he’s a rebound staffer who’s enjoying the perks of a lovelorn woman yet to learn from her past relationship mistakes… to “oh, actually, she’s still sleeping with and rekindling a romance with Marc Anthony” (the last rumour is a few weeks old, possibly even before Anthony started dating model Shannon de Lima).
This week’s Life & Style claims Smart proposed and Lopez “already treats him like a husband.” Smart also reportedly moved into Lopez’s home(s) and is involved in “every facet of her life, from family vacations to photo shoots.”
An L&S source adds, “[The relationship is] so serious [Jennifer] talks all the time about getting married again. This is so Jennifer. She jumps into love and really goes for it.” But her friends are “desperately trying to slam on the brakes and prevent her from repeating her lifelong pattern of sprinting down the aisle.”
GossipCop.com notes her rep blithely, and unhelpfully called the L&S report “inaccurate.”
RumorFix.com offered no clarification, instead only re-posting this Twitter photo shared by Lopez on Valentine’s Day. It was posted with the caption: “HAPPY VALENTINES DAY #JLOVE?RS!! I wish U ALL lots of love today and always! I l appreciate and love you all. #sweettweet” She deleted it right after (not that it mattered, it already went viral).
