Jennifer Lopez & Marc Anthony Still Intend To Film ¡Q’viva! The Chosen…. AWKWARD!

July 18, 2011 by Hollywoodite

Jennifer Lopez and estranged husband, Marc Anthony, will still film their talent/ reality show as planned.

Lopez is a workaholic. She always has been and that’s been evident through three failed marriages and at least one broken engagement. She’s written an album about whomever she’s been married to at the time, then sung about the break-up on the subsequent album. Which means her next album will be songs about why this marriage failed and the “new/ real love” she’s found with whichever interchangeable power-player. She’s not going to let what will be palpable awkward tension stop her from filming ¡Q’viva! The Chosen, the television show backed by American Idol’s Simon Fuller and his production companies XIX Entertainment and Endemol.

The filming has not yet begun, nor is distribution established. But there are dollar signs in everyone’s eyes, so it’s going ahead.

The series, in which Lopez and Anthony search for undiscovered talents in 21 countries across Latin America, has not been completed, with the singers set to film it later this year. “They’re both committed to ¡Q’viva! and will work on it as planned,” a spokesman for XIX Entertainment said. “The show goes on!”. XIX Entertainment is yet to lock English and Spanish-language U.S. networks to carry the show, and the publicity surrounding Lopez and Anthony’s split may actually help line up distributors. – via Deadline.

This will be such a mess, but it will be worth watching just to see them death-stare each other across the judging table. Hopefully, they’ll be judging in different countries or something. Logic dictates, surely? Who’d lock them in a room together and film that? Moreover, who would want to work for months with an estranged spouse who was reportedly physically abusive, emotionally abusive, and who was rumoured to have cheated – despite seven years and two babies.
