Jennifer Lopez’s Manager: She Has Meaningless Relationships With Obsessive Guys

March 15, 2012 by Hollywoodite

Jennifer Lopez’s manager has gone on the record in what would usually be a sourced scandal in Star Magazine. It was reported on RadarOnline.com last year that Marc Anthony suggested Lopez seek therapy for relationship issues that left her a pathetic, clingy, needy mess when single; desperate enough to jump in the arms of whichever suitor came calling first.

This week Lopez’s manager Benny Madina is profiled in Vogue Magazine, referencing discussions with Lopez as recent as the day prior to the interview, saying the exact same thing. Medina neglects to name-drop Lopez’s boyfriend, Casper Smart, 24, but her references the dancer indirectly by admitting that Lopez knows her rebound relationship is fluff but it’s okay because she appears to admit by proxy that she’s only using Smart for sex.

Medina says, in Vogue: “The thing that I always sort of wished is that she would give herself time to just naturally meet someone, instead of having obsessive guys pursue her [but she prefers] serial monogamy… The ease with which that obsession becomes a relationship I think sometimes works against her ability to have a real meaningful relationship. And she never half does anything. When she commits to anything in her work, her life, or her relationships, she is in it.”

Asked specifically about Smart, Medina continues: “She’s not oblivious to her own reality right now, as in, ‘Damn, I’m 42 with a 24-year-old. Why?’ We talked about it yesterday. She was just like, ‘It’s not even the age, Benny. It’s actually that I just came out of a relationship where I felt like I was kind of not getting what I needed. And I’m open! So somebody who steps in right now and is actually touching me in a way; it’s very fertile ground!’”
