Jeremiah Raber’s Ex-Wife: He’s Had That Tattoo Since 2009, He Loves Strip Clubs & Gambling
October 8, 2012 by Hollywoodite
As mentioned earlier, this week’s Star Magazine has some more details about Breaking Amish’s Jeremiah Raber from before and during the filming of the show.
Raber, 32, has made several false claims on the show. Including that he cannot drive and required driving lessons even when he’s owned at least two cars and Star has photos of him driving one of them (there’s a photo of the same car on his deleted-but-cached MySpace dated 2007 through 2010). The cars were purchased by his parents about whom he’s lying on the show when he talks about “shunning” that’s apparently not even universally practiced by the Amish.
Raber is also lying about “leaving his community for the first time” since friends and his ex-wife confirm that he really left the Amish 14-years-ago when he was only 18-years-old. And he’s lying on an earlier episode of Breaking Amish where he claims to be “getting his first tattoo” of “three names (of) people that are very close to me that have really impacted my life, so I wanna keep them close to my heart” while not admitting those “three people” are his three young children with an ex-wife who divorced him because of, among other things, court-documented spousal abuse.
The ex-wife Naomi Stutzman (previously Naomi Raber), 27, explains the deal with the tattoo that her ex-husband’s had since 2009: “He says [on Breaking Amish] it lists the names of ‘three people who have changed my life’… Well, those are the names of our three children and he’s had the tattoo since 2009. And the only thing new about that scene was that he was covering over my name, which was on the top. I can deal with Jeremiah trying to erase his past on the show, but erasing my name from a tribute to our children is hurtful. I didn’t expect that at all.”
It’s pretty obvious she’s telling the truth. If you look, the tattoo is only raised in part, probably because only part of it was worked on for the show. Moreover, it’s plausible that the top mirrored the bottom of the tattoo and her name was covered over by the New York tattoo artist.
Stutzman, who previously spoke to local news before (allegedly) being bribed into silence, tells Star she began dating Raber in 2002, they got married in 2005, they had three kids, and they were divorced by 2011.
In accordance with photo evidence provided to Star, Stutzman says Raber’s owned a cell phone since she’s known him (he lied on last weekend’s episode about purchasing his first cell phone) and he even taught her how to drive: “He was always always known as the guy with the coolest cars,” says Stutzman, ”and he bragged to me that he had outrun the cops 19 times!”
Raber was spoiled by his parents, even after he left the Amish, and he was reckless with money: “I used to have to sleep with my debit card,” Stutzman told Star. “Otherwise, Jeremiah would take it to get money and head for the local casino.”
Finally, she explains: “He’s always loved rap and rock, including Guns N’ Roses. His favorite performer is Eminem… [And] Jeremiah loved to go to the Tampa strip clubs.”
