Jessica Simpson’s Baby Bump Covers Elle: I’m Having A 10-Pound Girl

Jessica Simpson covers Elle Magazine April 2012 with a pose that went from controversial to trite once randoms started doing it.

Simpson is completely naked and heavily-Photoshopped for the cover on which she’s showing her growing baby bump. People keep asking “When did Jessica Simpson have her baby?” or “When is she due?” not realising that 1) she’s still pregnant 2) she’s having her baby shower soon 3) she may not deliver until AT LEAST later this month.

There’s a preview of Simpson’s interview on Page Six, during which she admits she’s expecting a baby girl who’s 10-pounds, for whom she and fiance Eric Johnson have picked a baby name that’s secret for now: ”We’re sure [about the choice]” she said. “We’re embroidering it on things. [It’s] nothing shocking and nothing you’ll have to add to the dictionary. When people hear it, they’ll know why.”

Simpson refers to the baby in the singular and only admits one sex, so it’s safe to deduce for now that she’s expecting one baby and not any set of multiples like twins or triples.

This is her first and only pregnancy photo shoot and interview and she’s waited until the final part of the final trimester (OK! Magazine lied and ripped people off with a fabricated exclusive cover for which Simpson had no knowledge or involvement it would seem).

Simpson also admits the vice that was hardest to give up, boozing: “Givin’ up my Scotch? My Macallan 18? That was hard for me! Though now , being pregnant, you crave other things. A big thing of water sounds great!”
