OK!: Jessica Simpson “Baby Meltdown,” & “Doubts” About Marrying Eric Johnson

This week’s OK! Magazine also threw Jessica Simpson a pity cover, as a nod to her basically missing out last week when she gave birth after the cut-off (OK! and Us Weekly are Simpson’s only covers this week and they’re not even exclusives).

This is another OK! story claiming relationship turmoil. Specifically, that Eric Johnson is too needy and Simpson is struggling to do it all in her first week as a mother. The cover says: “Jessica’s Baby Meltdown. Her doubts about marrying Eric; Worried she won’t lose the 65 lbs of baby weight; Terrified Jess ‘Pray for me.’”

The tabloid claims Simson is cracking under the pressure to “get back to work as quickly as possible,” something neither Simpson nor Johnson wants right now since Johnson reportedly hoped the baby would force his fiancee to “slow down.”

A source tells the magazine the couple’s relationship is under strain: “She got so emotional that she lashed out at Eric, telling him she doesn’t want to get married anymore.”

The source continues, Johnson misses their honeymoon phase: “He first met Jessica when she was in a more easy-breezy part of her life, where she wasn’t constantly having to worry about call times and scheduling conference calls to promote the show.”

In related news, Life & Style also has a story about Simpson. But its sources are gushing about the baby: “[The baby is] so cute! And Maxwell looks a lot like her mom; same cheeks, and nose. Her hair’s brown, but it’s getting blonder every day. [Jessica] was born for this role. Jessica knows what she’s doing.”
