Photo Of Jessica Simpson’s Baby Maxwell Drew Johnson Covers People Magazine

The first and only published photos of Jessica Simpson’s baby cover People Magazine this week.
Simpson is holding her baby girl, Maxwell Drew Johnson, for the cover of People, who reportedly paid $800,000 for access; lower than the desired million dollars. To clarify, the photos from the cover of OK! and others weeks ago were a random baby at a photo-op, these are the only real photos since they were bought and paid for.
The cover reads: “EXCLUSIVE First Photo & Interview. Jessica Simpson Baby Bliss. Her family album; The star and fiance Eric Johsnon introduce their daughter Maxwell Drew Johnson. Jessica & baby Max at home in LA May 22, 2012.”
This cover is… nice. But it feels beyond belated since Simpson gave birth May 1 and People has resorted to Kardashian filler in the interim. Has it been worth the wait? The inside will be telling, since there would appear to be many, many photos of the whole family. Also apparent, Simpson has lost weight postpartum although it’s hard to tell how much with all the Photoshop.
Included is the Today Show preview of the cover, a teaser from the interview, and the Australian exclusive that went to WHO Magazine.
Since Jessica Simpson and her fiancé Eric Johnson welcomed their daughter Maxwell Drew on May 1, “life has completely changed,” Simpson, 31, tells People exclusively. “From how I sleep to what I think about, Maxwell has definitely taken over everything!”
In this week’s issue, Simpson and Johnson give an exclusive interview, plus share the first photos of their little one, who’s inherited her mom’s eyes and her dad’s calm demeanor.
“We stare at her all the time,” says Simpson. “We can’t get enough!”
But becoming new parents hasn’t been without its hardships. Recovering from surgery (Simpson delivered via C-section) isn’t easy, she says, and nursing, which she does throughout the day, has become “a full-on job.”
Still, “It’s the worst if I have to pump and give Eric a bottle to give her,” says Simpson. “I miss holding her and having that closeness.”
