Jon Bon Jovi Was Unaware Of Daughter Stephanie Rose Bongiovi’s Drug Use

Last month, Jon Bon Jovi’s daughter, Stephanie Rose, was admitted to the hospital due to a heroin overdose. She was booked on drug charges that were later dropped.

His daughter is 19-years-old and attending Hamilton College in New York. Bon Jovi claims he had no idea the teenager was doing drugs and has told many media outlets of his ambivalence.

According to People Magazine, he says: ”I appreciate the outpouring of kindness in light of what happened in my household. I’m shocked as much as the next parent with this situation and had no idea. But then you surround them with best help and love and move on, and that’s where we’re at with it.”

Bon Jovi and his wife have been married for 25-years and have four children. He is a self-proclaimed recovering catholic, family man, and constantly touring for different charities. Although he has a very busy schedule, I find it hard to believe that he had no inclination regarding his daughter’s drug use. Not to make any assumptions, but where would she have gotten the money for the drugs? Based on appearances, her drug use doesn’t seem to coincide with a lack of love or support from the Bon Jovi family.

“Steph is a great kid,” he adds. “Great GPA. Cool school, Hamilton College up in Clinton, New York. Everything about it is idyllic. She was doing great. Then a sudden and steep decline.”

Overall, kids make mistakes regardless of their celebrity status. Hopefully she is able to recover, get the help she needs, and continue doing well in school.
