Jon Gosselin: Kate put the twins in a “horrible” situation and they “shut down”
Former Jon & Kate Plus 8 reality stars Kate Gosselin and her teenage twins, Mady and Cara, had a disastrous interview on TODAY Show.
The interview was not promotion attached to a project. It appeared to be damage control in response to Jon Gosselin appearing on Couples Therapy and speaking to rival tabloids (Kate has been appearing in PEOPLE with the twins and Jon has been speaking to In Touch).
It’s no surprise that Jon immediately spoke out regarding the TODAY interview.
According to sources, the girls just clammed up on set because they were “tired.” However, Jon places the blame on his ex-wife.
Jon called into TMZ Live, explaining “I felt really bad for Mady and Cara because I love them, and they’re put in this situation [by Kate].”
He adds, it was “horrible” to watch, “torn” between saying scripted lines and telling the truth, and so “shut down.”
