Jonathan Jaxson Admits Spreading Misinformation, Deletes Tweet

November 30, 2011 by Hollywoodite

Oh. This again. Jonathan Jaxson has been in the press a lot lately. He went on a book tour, where he name-dropped supposed former-clients then, allegedly, faked a suicide attempt when it backfired.

Jaxson claimed he was Kim Kardashian’s former-publicist, with outlets like CNN reporting his claims and taking his side.

Jaxson claimed he and the 31-year-old worked closely for years and suggested they remained friends. Kardashian sources told TMZ.com he was a self-promoting liar and she barely remembered him. In retaliation, he released emails and photos that looked incriminating. She threatened to sue. He live-tweeted an alleged suicide attempt. 48-hours later, he reactivated his then-deleted Twitter account and carried on communicating with followers.

Jaxson gave multiple interviews about Kardashian. At no time did he clarify it was just “opinion.” He appeared to be recalling fact. He claimed, with no caveat: Kardashian was in love with ex-boyfriend Reggie Bush, she wanted out of the engagement with two weeks to spare but felt compelled to commit.

Jaxson tweeted, a lot, at the time of the wedding. He appeared to suggest meeting with the family and attending in person (in August 2011).

A few hours ago he went on Twitter and admitted everything had, effectively, been fabricated: “My opinions on Kim Kardashians wedding to Kris Humpries were just that. I have not communicated with Kim since 2009.” Which, incidentally, is what Kardashain’s lawyer said. Her lawyer added, Jaxson was never her publicist; they just worked together on one, small project.

About eight hours after posting, he deleted the admission. In the gallery: the original tweet, as seen on two different accounts, and the same page URL with “Sorry that page doesn’t exist” after he deleted the message.
