Buckwild Joseph “Joey” Patrick Mulcahy Arrested for DUI

Buckwild, for those who never caught season one, was a reality show about young people in West Virginia who basically got into lots of scripted, staged fun in between misdemeanours.
Several of the cast members had issues with substances and had been arrested for it. For example, Tyler Boulet was arrested for underage drinking TWICE. Salwa Amin was arrested for dealing heroin and is an admitted addict. Co-star Bluefoot was arrested for DUI in February. And late cast member Shain Gandee had been arrested for driving under the influence at least once.
And now another cast member, who’s taken pictures of himself drinking in a vehicle with Bluefoot before, has been arrested for DUI.
Joseph “Joey” Patrick Mulcahy was charged with driving under the influence, reckless driving and failure to report an accident in Kanawha County on Tuesday evening, West Virginia State Police confirm.
Mulcahy reportedly told troopers he was “scared” and had “panicked” after rolling his vehicle at the 5300 block of Sissonville Drive, and had asked his father to take him home. WDTV confirms, “Police are said to have received a call about a car that had flipped in the 5300 block of Sissonville Drive, near Goodwin Pumps. When officers arrived on scene, they say Mulcahy’s father was there and claimed that he had taken [his son] home… officers told him to bring [his son] back to the scene.”
The reality star’s speech was slurred and he admitted to having “several beers” before the accident.
West Virginia State Police Troopers said they “smelled alcohol on Mulcahy, who refused a sobriety test and failed a Breathalyzer test with a blood-alcohol content of .205.”
“A second test registered .187.,” reports WCHS News.
Mulcahy was arrested, arraigned just before 11 p.m., and released on a $1000 property bond.
