July 24, 2013 by Jessica Salem
Juan Pablo Galavis, a suitor on the current season of the hit show The Bachelorette, is in talks to become the new Bachelor.
A show source spilled to E! News, “He’s been told the gig is his if he wants it. He’s definitely interested and will most likely accept.”
Galavis, a 31-year-old Venezuelan former pro soccer player with scorching hot looks was a huge fan favorite this year on The Bachelorette. While he failed to capture the heart of the ninth season bachelorette, Desiree Hartsock, show producers are hoping he can win the hearts of millions starring as the eighteenth season bachelor.
ABC declined to comment on the rumors but the show source added, “Not only do women seem to love him, casting him will help soothe accusations the series doesn’t include enough minorities.”
At the annual Men Tell-All taping, Galavis drew the loudest cheers from the female crowd. Despite only making it through half the season of The Bachelorette, his segment with host Chris Harrison was one of the longest.
When asked by E! News if he would be the next bachelor, Galavis responded, “I saw Desiree, what she went through. I hate hurting people. I hate hurting girls. I hate looking at girls cry. It’l be very tough. I have a family, my daughter. Being away from her was very tough. It’s going to be a very tough decision to make.”
Sensitive, sweet, and good-looking? While Galavis is still undecided you can bet millions of girls are already packing their bags and signing up to audition for the upcoming season.
