Justin Bieber Will Go into Space With Virgin Galactic
June 7, 2013 by Jennifer Exley
Justin Bieber will be taking his teen-loving vocal chords to uncharted territory: space.
That’s right. The teen pop sensation has booked himself and his manager Scooter Braun a flight on Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic flight. The Virgin founder took to Twitter yesterday to announce the news.
“Great to hear @justinbieber & a scooterbraun are latest @virgingalactic future astronauts. Congrats, see you up there!” Branson tweeted.
Bieber retweeted the comment to his fans, confirming the news.
According the Virgin’s website, the company expects a test flight by the end of the year and commercial flights will follow. At the altitude the flight will hit, passengers will feel the weightlessness of space and even be able to see the curve of the Earth.
The site boasts that more than 530 people are signed up for the flight. Among them are Leonardo DiCaprio who will be travelling with a companion who recently won the seat in an auction at Cannes last month. The 500th on the last is none other than Two and a Half Men star Ashton Kutcher.
With all the drama Bieber has been creating recently, he may need to go as far as space in order to avoid the controversy. Think he’ll do a concert to entertain guests during the flight? He would be the first singer or band to perform in space if he did.
