Justin Bieber’s Monkey Finds New Home

Justin Bieber’s Capuchin monkey Mally has found a new home in Germany.

The Canadian pop star’s pet was confiscated in Munich in March. Bieber was asked to provide health and species protection certificates in order to retrieve the monkey. When Bieber failed to produce those certificates, Mally became property of the German government.

According to Reuters, Mally was moved into Serengeti Park in Hodenhagen in northern Germany. He will remain in quarantine for a few more weeks before he will be allowed to permanently settle with the other Capuchin monkeys.Mally was taken to the park secretly for his protection, but fans will soon be able to visit the animal in the park.

Fabrizio Sepe, head of the wildlife park, told Reuters that the enclosure where Mally will be has a long island and lots of trees. ”It will be a bit of a game to try and recognize him,” Sepe said.

Sepe also said that while most animals stay in their transport boxes for a few days, Mally came out right away. “He came out straight away,” Sepe told Reuters. “[He] was immediately curious about everything.”

There has yet to be any contact from Bieber, but Sepe said he would offer up any information to the singer that he wanted.
