K. Michelle Calls It Quits After Second Season of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta

Apparently, the third time is not the charm for K. Michelle. The R&B singer recently told ABC News Radio that she will not return for a third season of VH1’s Love and Hip Hop Atlanta. After signing up for a second season of the popular spin-off, K. Michelle now believes that L&HHATL has done more harm than good in her life.

“If I know something is unhealthy for me why keep doing it,” K. Michelle questioned. The Burn My Heart singer definitely has a point, as she was constantly in conflict with her fellow cast mates during the first season. Though she is ready to move on, K. has yet to resolve her most memorable beef with co-star Rasheeda. “I have no respect for [Rasheeda],” she admitted of the pregnant rapper. “I hope her child doesn’t have the same morals as her and her husband. The world is already messed up enough. We don’t even need another seed that has no morals, no nothing.”

The two are still at odds over K. Michelle’s allegations that she was in an abusive relationship with rap producer Memphitz. Currently married to Rasheeda’s friend Toya Carter, Memphitz was so upset by the accusations that he filed a lawsuit against VH1 that was later dropped. Meanwhile, the feisty singer has maintained her claims in spite of all the denial and doubt. But the L&HHATL drama doesn’t stop with just one clash. K. Michelle told ABC News Radio that in the new season, which premiers on Monday, April 22nd, she fights with every cast member.

Of course, K. Michelle is not to blame. “I think it’s a lot of jealousy between my cast members, and they can’t say it’s not,” she explained. “It’s not my fault that God didn’t give them no talent. That’s not my fault that you didn’t take your platform and do something else with it.” The 27-year–old is certainly using her time to shine. Her new album Rebellious Soul is slated for release this August.

And while her time with L&HHATL will come to an end after this season, K. Michelle’s reality TV story may not be over yet. “I’m not saying that I’m not dealing with other ventures with VH1 and Mona [Scott Young, the creator]. …You might see me in Love & Hip Hop New York. You never know.”
