Kail Lowry Will Encapsulate Her Placenta To Ward Off Depression
Kail Lowry and her husband Javi Marroquin will welcome their first child together next month, and after they do, the Teen Mom 2 star will be consuming her placenta in pill form. Doing so has proven to be a good thing for new mothers because of its high nutrient count, which aids in the recovery process. However, for Kail, there’s a little more to her decision to have her placenta encapsulated.
“Kailyn has two friends that did completely natural water births. While Kailyn decided that wasn’t for her, one of them did encapsulate her placenta so that got Kailyn thinking about her postpartum experience with Isaac,” a friend of Kail reveals to Radar Online.
“She had postpartum so bad she didn’t want to even get up and get dressed in the morning. She didn’t want to see anybody and she just had an awful time nursing, so she researched the benefits for encapsulation,” the friend explains. “Taking the pills (or eating it raw) is supposed to help with balancing hormones, milk supply, increase energy and postpartum depression.”
Since her announcement regarding the decision, Kail has received mixed emotions from her fans online and some people have been downright rude, calling the idea “disgusting” and even claiming that Kail is doing it only for attention.
“Some of the reactions are just that it’s gross and they wouldn’t do it, that she’s disgusting, et cetera, but it doesn’t really bother Kailyn,” the friend states. “She will do anything to have a good experience after birth this time around.”
Plus, why should Kail worry what her uninformed critics have to say when those around her are totally on board with her choice?
“Javi completely supports Kailyn doing this. She’s explained to him how she felt after Isaac was born,” the friend adds.
At the same time, he’s not ready to reap the benefits himself. “He just doesn’t want to try it himself, which there is no reason for him to,” the friend says. “So Kailyn just jokes about slipping placenta pills into his drink. Haha.”
